Looking to Volunteer?
The United Way of Posey County offers opportunities for volunteering in Posey County, including fundraising, serving on the citizen review committee of agencies requesting funds, or helping with events throughout the year, such as the Letter Carriers Food drive each May, volunteering at the Mount Vernon Food Pantry or helping at one-time fundraising events. Campaign volunteers are needed from September through mid-December. Volunteers in the citizen review process of agencies requesting funding work from mid-September to the end of November. It is the efforts of the citizen review committee, which studies agencies requesting funding and makes a recommendation on whether an agency should receive funding and in what amount, that helps to ensure that contributions to the United Way of Posey County are wisely and effectively used for important community services and programs and not wasted.

Volunteers Needed!
The United Way of Posey County Is Bringing A New Program To Our Community Called Hometown Helping Hands
This program will support projects for our community’s elderly, disabled, and individuals with financial needs to fix unskilled labor projects within their homes.
Do you love to mow, paint, landscape, etc. and prefer to work alone? You can do that and help someone in the community at the same time! Or volunteer alongside friends, family, or colleagues and make it a special experience. Have fun and make a positive difference in our community by serving together.
